Weapons and Ships
-------------------------
Weapons:
Neka...
is the name she gives her beloved, a sword unusual on the seven seas. Its wind curves after the fashion of a scimitar, but in truth, the weapon is thinner than that. Its blade is forged of silver-steel, and although it is aged, it remains clean as the vixen takes it upon herself to cleanse the weapon she always has on her.
Scarlet and Pearl...
the pair of bladed sais she likes to play with. Light and slim, they can be used as both a throwing dagger subsitute or weapons for close combat although she prefers Neka in such cases. They are of no particular beauty but are deadly sharp, objects she picked up from a trader years ago.
Freya
although rarely used, this pistol is nearly always strapped to her belt. Like many of the weapons she uses, it was taken from a beast she's killed. Freya simply caught her fancy and she decided to pry it from its former owner's cold, dead paws.
Ship: Bloodwake [ First Mate ]

History (Optional)
-------------
Background:
Zora was not a creature born on the seas or into the usual life that flows into piracy. Nay, in fact, her birth name was not even Zora. She was born into a family of nobles located somewhere near Zeveon. However, she was not the daughter the family expected. Instead of being besotted by a ruffled dress or a handsome soldier, Zora, or Sofya Ann, took more of an interest in the training of her elder brother Charles.
The two were close as siblings, mostly due to the fact that Charles did not treat his little sister as a fragile ornament about to break. It was true that he did protect her from the numerous suitors after her hand, but he taught her to protect herself. It was he that secretly trained her, teaching her to fight and defend. It was he that gave her her favored weapon of Neka, having it forged by the village's finest blacksmith.
Her family did not approve of Zora's interest in what they deemed male affairs, and so, refrained from letting her see Charles often. They sent him away, enrolled in the royal navy, and left Zora at home with her elder sister, Patricia, whom they hoped would influence her to become the proper princess she should have been. It could barely be said that it worked.
During Charle's absense, Zora trained by herself, often sneaking out of the manor at night to beat up the village boys. She was quite popular among them, not only for her beauty, but for her wit and humor. However, her time at home was coming to an end.
As her seventeenth birthday neared, she was approached by her father who related to her the news of her recently betrothal to her cousin Augustus whom she disliked with a passion. She tried to change her parents' minds, but her mother Augustine, after whom the boy had been named, was intent on her daughter making a fine marriage.
This drove Zora into leaving the family, running off in the midst of darkness and stowing away on a ship headed for...nowhere she knew of. She had with her only her sword, Neka, and a determination and pride unable to be suppressed. Two days at sea, the ship she had stolen onto was attacked by pirates. The Bloodwake to be precise. She watched in horror as the pirates took over the ship, murdering its crew. She was sure that the captain could only a vicious, disgusting man.
But she was wrong. Surprised she was to discover the defined but roguish elegance of the ship's captain, Passion Nightstorm, and she revealed herself to the vixen, asking to be taken onto the Bloodstorm. At first, the captain laughed at her, calling her a child and refusing her entry into her crew. However, Zora would not give up until she practically annoyed Nightstorm into signing her on. She gave up her old name, determined that no one would find her again, and joined the Bloodwake's crew.

Appearance
--------------
Appearance:
Originally a reputed beauty, the harsh life of a pirate has done nothing to tarnish the elegance and good-looks of Zora Flamewing. The rough life has hardened her and calloused her hands but there is a certain glow about the vixen that makes her an undeniably pretty. Perhaps it is the foxish charms that apply to all vixens.
Her dense pelt glows a hue of deep ginger, close to auburn in some areas. At the neck, it thickens and lengthens just slightly. From the bottom of her jaw to her underbelly is a stretch of creamy amber lighter than the surrounding areas. From knees on down, her legs are a dark brown-black color.
Her eyes are the clearest shade of green. Somewhere between emerald and serpentine, they are the result of a gene that runs dominant in her family. Like pools of moss, flecks of lighter greens circle her pupils, giving her a mystic and unusual look. They are usually spiteful and full of mischief but can be quite guarded when need be.
Clothing:
Simplicity is the way to phrase it best. She wears only a V-necked shirt that might once have been white over her top. It comes to a halt a little above her midriff, tied hastily and with sleeves ripped into ribbons so they barely exist. Her her legs, she is clothed in canvas leggings of a dark beige-brown. It is stained and ripped in many places but is the only pair she favors. They are rolled up to the knees and even those folds are tattered and worn. Around her neck, she wears a fine but sturdy chain. Dangling from that is a pendant resembling a crescent moon with a single emerald at it's center. She rarely speaks of this but it was a gift from her brother before she left home and the only jewelry she wears. Zora sometimes goes without footwear, but when she does have them, they exist in the form of a pair of old brown boots, fashioned out of some suede-like material.

Personality:
Stubborn and opinionated, Zora is not one to refuse a fight...any fight. In fact, that is one of her flaws. She holds a sense of arrogant pride that allows her to challenge nearly anyone and often pick a fight with the wrong beast. Her temper is easily flared, and when she is angry, she is furious. Zora is the kind of beast to be easily irritable, and although she does not visibly hold a grudge, she will remember an incident for many years.
Clever and quick witted as the fox she is, she is not one to easily lose a verbal argument. She could convince a rabbit he's a rat, and a rat that he's an abbey mouse. In an argument, she isn't the usual loser, and she'd do anything possible to get her opponent to swallow his tongue. Among the many illiterate pirates on the sea, she uses her quick thinking abilities to her advantage often. However, that does not excuse her from her own characteristic impulses.
Zora is actually quite an impulsive vixen, acting on a whim and trusting her instincts on many occasions. Although it takes a while for any beast to convince her, her own instincts are trusted without doubt. A mere feeling without base could cause Zora to attempt to convince Nightstorm to change course, and a slight whim could make her do pretty much anything.
Rambunctious as a pup, she can be quite playful and flirtatious. She uses her charms and beauty to her advantage and has no problem flirting with the boys. However, it takes a lot for her to actually stick with someone. She looks for more than good-looks and brawn in a man, seeking someone with a bit of intelligence - someone she can actually have a conversation with.
